Ingredients:
For the momo filling:
- Cabbage, finely chopped
- Carrots, grated
- Peas (optional)
- Onions, finely chopped
- Ginger, finely chopped or grated

Instructions:
- Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth, soft dough. Cover and set aside for about 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling: Heat oil in a pan, add ginger, onions, and green chilies (if using), and sauté for a couple of minutes. Add the chopped cabbage, carrots, peas, and cook for a few minutes until the vegetables soften. Stir in soy sauce, cumin powder, black pepper, and salt. Let the mixture cool.
- Shape the momos: Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each circle. Pinch the edges together to form pleated dumplings.
- Steam the momos: Steam the momos for about 10-12 minutes or until the dough is cooked through. Set them aside to cool.
- Prepare the coating: In a bowl, combine cornflour, breadcrumbs (if using), red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Add water gradually to make a smooth batter that will coat the momos.
- Fry the momos: Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Dip the steamed momos into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated, then fry them until golden and crispy.
